The wild pistachio in Kerman province includes two species, Pistacia atlantica and Pistacia khinjuk. These species are scattered in an area of 545959 ha. They belong to the vegetative regions of Irano-Touranian and Zagros. The wild pistachio is almost observed in mountainous areas. Pistaciakhinjuk does not make a type alone and only is seen together with Pistacia atlantica as a mixed type. Pistaciaatlantica has made ten types with Juniperusexcelca, Acer monspesalanum and Amygdalusscoparia in Kerman province. It is mostly located on sandy loam soils. The habitat elevation is 1200 to 2800 meters above sea level, with a general slope of 5 to 50 percent higher in the north and west. Qualitatively, the habitats are thin, trees are provided from seedlings, with a spherical crown, the height and diameter at breast height of trees are large and regeneration of trees is low; additionally, they are exposed to many pests’ attacks. In order to manage these forests, it is suggested that sustainable management be applied to these forests, which can help improve the effective management of these forests.
