Abstract

Aquatic plants are the main elements of wetland ecosystems, and they have an extensive ecological role in the structure, function, and production of the aqua environment. Unfortunately, since many wetlands have dried up, some species have been observed in a particular wetland or even part of it. For example, Nuphar luteum in Sarabe Nilofar, Kermanshah province, and Nymphaea alba in Zarivar lakeof Kurdestan province.Nine new records of wetland plants were introduced for Iran recently:
Ruppia cirrhosa from Hassanlo wetland in West Azerbaijan and Andica, Potamogeton filiformis from Shadegan, Potamogeton trichoides from Neoor in Ardebil, Potamogeton alpinus from Gahar in Lorestan, Nagas gracillima in Abdolkhn of Khuzestan, Utricularia ochroleuca from Chalus and Utricularia vulgaris from Zaribar lake and Potamogeton friesii from Hamid Abad river of Khuzestan. In this research, 64 species from 23 families are introduced, belonging to four classes, Floating, Submersed, Emersed, and Marginal Plants.
