The walnut is a tall tree with a height up to 25 m in the forest areas. This tree has been preserved for centuries in the gardens of various provinces to exploit its product; therefore, there are a lot of long-lived stands of walnut. According to a survey, up to 2016, there are 150 long-lived stands of walnut in 27 provinces, of which 104 stands have been recorded. In the present paper, the characteristics of long-lived stands in eight provinces are introduced. Certainly, more stands of long-lived trees will be identified in more provinces and introduced in the next issue. The highest frequency of walnut long-lived stands was recorded in Isfahan province with 24 stands, followed by Qazvin (22 stands), Semnan (21 stands), and North Khorasan (19 stands). The most long-lived walnut stand was recorded in Isfahan province, Kloce village, with almost 900-950 years old and 101 cm of trunk perimeter, followed by Chapanlo long-lived walnut in North Khorasan, and Bage Khan Oregan in Chahar Mahle Bakhtiari province. In addition, a long-lived walnut stand in Qazvin province, Yaroood village, had the widest canopy with 39.1 m of crown diameter and 1200 m2 canopy among all identified long-lived species in Iran.}, keywords = {Long-lived trees,walnut,longevity}, title_fa = {گردوهای کهن‌سال ایران (بخش اول)}, abstract_fa = {درخت گردو (Juglans regia) در ایران به صورت بومی و دست‎کاشت در بیشتر استان‌های کشور حضور دارد. گردو درختی مرتفع است که در حالت جنگلی گاهی ارتفاع آن به 25 متر می‎رسد، این درخت در باغ‌های استانهای مختلف جهت بهره‎برداری از محصول آن گاهی به مدت چند قرن حفظ شده‎است از این رو پایه‎های فراوان کهن‌سالی از آن در ایران وجود دارد. بررسی انجام شده تا سال 1395 نشان از حضور حدود یکصد و پنجاه پایه کهنسال از این گونه در کشور دارد که از این تعداد 104 پایه بازدید و اطلاعات و ویژگی‌های آنها ثبت شده است و در مجموع در 27 استان کشور حضور پایه‌های کهنسال آن گزارش شده است. در این مقاله پایه‎های کهن‌سال آن در هشت استان معرفی می‎شود. به طور یقین در ادامه شناسایی درختان کهن‌سال در استان‎های بیشتری پایه‎های آن شناسایی و در شماره‎های بعد معرفی خواهند شد. تا کنون استان اصفهان با 24 پایه گردوی کهن‌سال بیشترین فراوانی را دارد و بعد از آن استان‌های قزوین با 22 پایه، استان سمنان با 21 پایه و استان خراسان شمالی با 19 پایه قرار دارند. مسن‌ترین گردوی کهنسال ایران با حدود 900 تا 950 سال سن و محیط 1010 سانتی‎متر در استان اصفهان قرار دارد و بعد از آن گردوهای کهن‌سال چپانلو در استان خراسان شمالی و باغ خان اورگان در استان چهار محال و بختیاری قرار دارند. گردوی پنجم روستای یارود در استان قزوین با میانگین قطر تاج 1/39 متر و سطح تاج پوشش 1200 متر مربع، گسترده‎ترین تاج را در بین تمامی کهن‌سال‎های شناسایی شده در ایران دارد.  }, keywords_fa = {درختان کهن‌سال,گردو,کهن‌سالی}, url = {https://irannature.areeo.ac.ir/article_118211.html}, eprint = {https://irannature.areeo.ac.ir/article_118211_1a806ef8ea35961b6f268fb44647b4cd.pdf} }
